I am a PhD student in the labs of Prof. Israel Nelken and Prof. Yonatan Loewenstein. My research focuses on the exploration and learning in complex environments and the neural activity associated with these processes. In my experiments I test the behavior of freely moving rats in multi-step decision tasks, while recording neural activity using electrophysiology. I am interested in how rats choose to explore different environments, how exploration interacts with learning and how the information that is inherent to these behavioral processes is represented in the brain.
